Purchase from LVB
The Deutschlandticket must be purchased from LVB by the 10th day of a month to be valid for the following month.
New customers can order the ticket online from 03 April 2023 at https://abo.l.de/deutschlandticket/.
The forms can also be filled in at the LVB service centres:

To speed up the process at the service centres, it is possible to obtain and fill in the necessary forms already at the LVB service points.

Purchase from Deutsche Bahn
The Deutschlandticket can also be purchased online or at a DB travel centre (e.g. at Leipzig Central Station). DB offers an “Abo-Sofort” option, which makes the Deutschlandticket valid immediately upon purchase. If the 10th day of a month has passed and you urgently need a Deutschlandticket for the current month, you can subscribe there.
The LVB extensions can still be booked for your Deutschlandticket at LVB. However, the rule still applies there that the extensions are only valid in the following month if they were purchased after the 10th of the month – and not immediately.
